When I was little I had this black & white poster of a little boy and little girl holding hands and walking through a garden. They were walking out from under the darkness and into the lighter parts of the garden and this image always gave me a sense of joy and peace…not sure why, but it did and I loved it. When I look at the this image that I captured below, I get that same sense of peace and joy.

I had the pleasure of photographing this great family’s first born child a couple of years ago and I so loved having the opportunity again with their second born! These two girls are such beauties!! Daddy, you’re going to have your hands full! Not only are they beautiful girls, they are being brought up to be proud of and have a love for their country. Perfect timing for this Friday’s honoring of our Veterans. Thank you for all that you do for us and the sacrifices you make for us all!

Um, can her eyes be any more amazing???

I haven’t taken too many senior guys photos this year…and most of you know why (guys aren’t too excited about getting their pictures done). But, Marcus was a hoot! He came with his mom to my studio/farm and we just had a blast. My experience with guys and their senior pictures has been the same…they come rather uninterested and say “I’m only doing this for my mom”…and leave feeling that they actually had a great time. Love that. Here are a few of this fun session.

Senior year of high school can be one of the busiest times of a person’s life…or so it may seem when you’re in it! I don’t doubt it for one minute with this young lady, though. Senior papers, college applications and essays, sports, time with friends & family…it’s a wonder if she gets any sleep at all. Whether she gets her beauty sleep or not, Madison is one gorgeous young lady, inside and out! It was a pleasure to take your portraits, Madison! Those of you who know me know that I love babies. Before I had children of my own, I would want to hold every baby I came in contact with…and I generally did! I feel bad for the moms that I just took babies from…lol! Now that I’m a mom, I know how horrifying that must have been to have a stranger come up and ask to hold your baby…so thanks for letting me do it! So, imagine how thrilled I get when I have the opportunity to spend a few hours with newborns and babies while taking pictures of their beautiful features and expressions. I was at the wedding of little M’s parents so it was such a privilege for me to take photographs of their firstborn! I love to see beautiful healthy families grow. Well, enough of my ramblings; let’s get to the best parts of these posts, shall we?

Sweet cousins, A & M! I took baby A’s pictures when she was a day old…now look how big she is!!! You both are so sweet…I’m jealous of your parents…and grandparents. :)

I love meeting and connecting with my clients. I met little Graeson when he was 6 months old…all smiles and sweet as can be. His beautiful smile and sweetness hasn’t changed, but Graeson is a big boy now! His mommy and I have become friends as well and I love that! Thank you for allowing me to photograph your sweet little man (and for introducing me to more of your family). Can’t wait to show you the rest; in the meantime, I hope you enjoy these (sorry it took me a little longer than usual…I’ve been joyfully swamped!)!

Alright, ladies! I know we all (at least the majority of us) love to shop!! So here is a sweet little boutique that you can take your daughter, niece, girl friends’ daughters, etc. to find super cute clothing. Violet is especially geared towards girls age 7-14 (tweeners). Okay, so I went to the grand opening…and wouldn’t you know it, I found some items that were just perfect for me! Yup, I sure did! And y’all know I’m not a tween! ;) Here are some shots of the boutique at Grand Opening and also some of the awesome images from our fashion shoot.

Senior portraits “season” is underway and I am so thrilled to be capturing this memorable time in a person’s life. As fall hits the Willamette Valley, so comes inclement weather. I generally cancel when the rain comes; but on this day, we did it anyway and boy am I glad! Madeleine’s mom told me over the phone that Madeleine wouldn’t mind the rain; in fact, she loves the rain. So, we decided to go for it! We started the season with a very fine mist and even a little clearing. But then, it started coming down hard. Thank goodness I have the gear to withstand a little water and we all just enjoyed ourselves tremendously! Here are some pictures of the beautiful and rain-loving Madeleine. Enjoy!
