Newborn Portraits Photographer | Patriotism at it’s finest! Happy Veteran’s Day | Baby Olive

I had the pleasure of photographing this great family’s first born child a couple of years ago and I so loved having the opportunity again with their second born! These two girls are such beauties!! Daddy, you’re going to have your hands full!;)Not only are they beautiful girls, they are being brought up to be proud of and have a love for their country. Perfect timing for this Friday’s honoring of our Veterans. Thank you for all that you do for us and the sacrifices you make for us all!

Um, can her eyes be any more amazing???

They’re already telling each other secrets!  ;)

Children’s Portrait Photographer | Kim O’Neil Photography | Princess “M”

Those of you who know me know that I love babies. Before I had children of my own, I would want to hold every baby I came in contact with…and I generally did! I feel bad for the moms that I just took babies from…lol! Now that I’m a mom, I know how horrifying that must have been to have a stranger come up and ask to hold your baby…so thanks for letting me do it!;)So, imagine how thrilled I get when I have the opportunity to spend a few hours with newborns and babies while taking pictures of their beautiful features and expressions. I was at the wedding of little M’s parents so it was such a privilege for me to take photographs of their firstborn! I love to see beautiful healthy families grow.:)Well, enough of my ramblings; let’s get to the best parts of these posts, shall we?

Sweet cousins, A & M!  I took baby A’s pictures when she was a day old…now look how big she is!!!  You both are so sweet…I’m jealous of your parents…and grandparents.  :)

Eugene Oregon Photographer | Newborn Session | Hello little brother!

Finally, summer is here! Mr. Sunshine makes me so happy…there is not many other things that can make me happier, except for maybe babies!:)I LOVE babies. There is just something about their newness, their ever-so-soft skin, their smell, their tiny little everythings. That’s why when Baby B’s mom facebooked (yes, facebooked) me to come take pictures of him, I was ecstatic! (Now, I know some of you are leary of the social networking scene, but facebook can be marvelous for a small business owner.:)If you’re on facebook and haven’t connected to my page yet, I’d love it if you’d “like” me!)
Anyways, I had the privilege of photographing “big sister” last year (you can check that session out here), and she was such a great helper this time. Of course, I couldn’t resist taking some shots of Little A as well while mommy was tending to baby. This time, she was a pro!

Here are some tiny details of Baby B. Isn’t he just the sweetest little guy?

Little brother, your big sister is going to be your best friend…

Doesn’t she have the most amazing eyes? Such depth in this beautiful little lady.

For those of you wondering, the headpiece is a Gracylu Originals. Beautiful headpieces created by a talented lady.

And, I couldn’t resist taking a picture of A’s little toes…stinkin’ adorable. Thank you, Sarah, for allowing me to spend the morning with you and your sweet little ones. I hope you enjoy this sneak peak.

Oregon Newborn & Family Portrait Photographer | Baby "L" and family

I was so excited to go hang out with this sweet family today. Baby “L” was born the day before my own birthday so I was thrilled that his parents were quick to have me over for his newborn session. I loved seeing baby L’s daddy just completely smitten with him. I would have to say that Shane loves babies just as much as I do. We have fought over holding babies at church and we were fighting to hold baby L today! Proud father. Loving mom. Doting sisters. I think little L will grow up filled with all the love he will need from his family and from above!

Newborn sessions are generally best when taken during the first 7 days of life. Why, you may ask? Well, typically, newborns are sleeping all the time, their skin is beautiful and not flaky until about 2 weeks after birth, and they’re just so preciously small! Well, I say typically because it never fails that when I think a baby is going to be zonked out, they end up being wide awake! “L” was not wide awake…but we couldn’t get him to really get to that deep sleep stage where I could maneuver him like I’d like. Oh well. It was still fabulous to hold him and love on him. Yes, I got my baby fix again.:)And, for a bonus, I got to photograph his two adorable sisters. Aren’t they yummy? Just a precious family. Thank you for allowing me into your home for the day! Love you guys!

Oregon Lifestyle Portrait Photographer | Newborn Session | "Gift from God", Part II

To follow yesterday’s (was it yesterday? Time is a blur these days!) post, I wanted to show you some more of beautiful Shiloh. I had mommy bring Shiloh to my studio so that we can do a more controlled lighting session. There’s just something comforting to me to know that I will get exactly the light that I want when we are at the studio. Don’t get me wrong, I love shooting in natural light as well, but there are times when a huge octobox and completely controlled light makes me happy and at ease. We cranked up the heat so that baby would be warm and comfy…hopefully sleepy as well, but alas, Shiloh is 12 weeks old and quite alert! The only time she would sleep at all is in the arms of her mommy. Baby, you are so adorable!
