As I write this, I am thinking about the next 4 days at the WPPI convention in Las Vegas! I am so excited to come together with a ton of other wedding and portrait photographers all over the nation to learn, play, and walk through a mega trade show displaying all the major vendors in the industry. My brain is going to be on overload…but I am so excited for it!
To kick off my exciting week, I’m going to blog about my latest engagement session…with Julie & John. This session was unique because I had my friend and fellow photographer Bunn Salarzon shooting alongside me. As you may know, I belong to a group of photographers called the Click Chicks, the majority of whom reside in the Portland/Vancouver area. That’s where I met Bunn and we immediately “clicked”. Ever since meeting her, we have second shot for each other’s weddings a few times…and it’s always a pleasure to work with her! Anyways, we got Julie and John cracking up the whole time! It is so fun to see a couple’s chemistry and dynamics come out.
Bunn asked John a question, “John, what makes Julie smile?” And without hesitation, John replied, “Me!” The first set are the images resulting from that dialogue.
And, I believe it is so true! John does, indeed, put a smile on Julie’s face. Ah, l’amoure!
