Kim O’Neil Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

Hello!  I'm Kim O'Neil.  So glad you stopped by to check out my blogsite.  This is where all my most recent work is featured.  If you're looking to see my latest posts, just keep scrolling down this page.  If you're looking for something specific, like an engagement or wedding, click on "Categories" and select the one you're interested in.  So, grab a drink and take a few minutes to look around and if you like what you see, please leave me a comment!  I would love to hear from you and see what caught your eye.  Come back often and if my work is something that you can feel good about sharing with your friends, please do!!!

I love my "job!"  I am fortunate to have a very supportive family.  They have all come together and sacrificed a little (okay, maybe a lot!) so that I can follow my passion...photography!  Why do I love it so???  Because I get to take pictures of people in their special moments in life; to be able to capture the heart of those moments and then create a beautiful keepsake that will last a lifetime....that's my aim for every person out there who choses to become a client!

For those of you who are already my clients, thank you for supporting me!  If you would like to help me a little bit further, below is a link to WeddingWire (a site where potential brides can go to check out vendors).  Click on this link and write a review about your experience with me!  Thank you so much!!!

Little tidbits about me:

* I LOVE sushi...I can eat a LOT of good sushi rolls, every day...okay, almost every day.

* I also LOVE Thai food...anything with basil in it will make my mouth water...oh, and curry too!

* I'm an exclamation point writer...I use a lot of them!!!  ;)

* I have two beautiful children who push me to be a better mom.

* I'm married to a wonderful man who is a pastor of a church.

* I love the technical side of photography...okay, I'll admit it...I'm a gear junkie!

* I stay up way too late to get up at 6:30 am when my kids do....yet I do it anyways.

(And since it's past 3 am right now, I can't seem to think of anything else at the moment.)

Oregon Lifestyle Portrait Photographer | Portrait Session | Kellie & Wade

Okay, Kellie and Wade’s session is the first couples session I’ve done in a long time that wasn’t an engagement session….and yet, they acted like they were just newly engaged! These two have been married for (oh gosh, I hope I paid enough attention during our talks) 17 years…or was it 25? I...

Oregon Lifestyle Portrait Photographer | Newborn Session | “Gift from God”, Part II

To follow yesterday’s (was it yesterday? Time is a blur these days!) post, I wanted to show you some more of beautiful Shiloh. I had mommy bring Shiloh to my studio so that we can do a more controlled lighting session. There’s just something comforting to me to know that I will...

Eugene Oregon Lifestyle Portrait & Wedding Photographer | Newborn Session | “Gift from God”

As promised, I am now posting a separate blog about baby Shiloh. “Shiloh” means “His gift”…which she definitely is. Shiloh had a very rough beginning. She was diagnosed with hydrops (fluid surrounding her lung cavity) at 32 weeks. With an emergency c-section, 6 weeks in the NICU with congenital chylothorax, chest...

Eugene Oregon Lifestyle Portrait & Wedding Photographer | Family Session | And Baby Makes Three!

I was very excited to have the opportunity to photograph one of my husband’s best buddies’ children recently. With rain and partial sun breaks, we were able to shoot inside with some beautiful light streaming through the windows. I’d have to say that there were so many beautiful chairs, benches, sofas, textures all...
