Oregon Wedding & Portrait Photographer | Engagement Session | Ashley & Keith

Sadly, I think this week is the last of summer for most of us since school will be starting up soon…if not next week then the week after. Although I feel like my summer has been cut short because of my foot injury, I’ve had my share of shooting in 90+ degrees. Tuesday, the 24th, was one of those days. I met Ashley and Keith at the Rose Garden in Eugene for their engagement session. This session represented a couple of firsts for me: my first full session in a cast, on crutches and the first ever chest bump performed by a couple in front of my lens! This showed me a few things: Ashley and Keith were laid back (dealing with me and my slowness), were completely comfortable with me and completely at ease in front of my camera! We had a great time getting to know each other. Their love story is a sweet one…they met their first week of college and have been inseparable ever since…9 years! In 2011, they will make it official on the snowy peaks of Mt. Hood!

I hope you enjoy the preview of this fun, loving, passionate couple.

Thank you, Jackie, for being my “slave”.;)You made it much easier than I had imagined…even though I still looked like a raccoon afterwards!

Oregon Wedding Photographer | SunRiver Resort | Great Hall & Bachelor Lawn

On July 24, I was privileged to cover a wedding at the SunRiver Resort. What a magnificent location!  With the beautiful Mt. Bachelor as the backdrop during the ceremony and the historic Great Hall for the reception, one could not ask for a better venue, although it could have been a bit cooler…it got to at least 95 degrees that day…HOT!! Thank goodness for air conditioning!

Along with the fabulous venue, the flowers were simply exquisite!  Nicole of Singing Sparrow Flowers did an amazing job.  She paid special attention to the heat of the day and made sure that the flowers would last. With these wonderful vendors working for your special day, the only thing left to do is enjoy yourselves and celebrate with all your family and friends…and that is what A & T did!  Enjoy this peak into their day.

I want to thank my wonderful assistants, Maalaea and Willow, for their help! You are wonderful and I truly appreciate all your hard work.

Eugene Oregon Children’s Portrait Photographer | Siblings

Since my brother is out of the country for a while, I’m trying to get some pictures of his children up so he can enjoy them whenever he misses them…which I’m sure is all the time. This session was my first one after my accident (I broke my foot and had surgery two weeks ago). I must admit, this is going to be harder than I had imagined! Not being able to move like I used to, needing an assistant to help with my lighting, posing, etc…so, I can do it…it’s just that much harder! I still enjoy it terribly though. So, if you have a session booked with me…don’t fret, we’ll still do it; it will just be a bit more work so I ask for your patience.

Bubba, I hope you enjoy these.:)

Eugene Oregon Children’s Portrait Photographer | Baby Session | My Niece!

So, my sister-in-law wanted to surprise my brother (who is currently in Afghanistan) with some pictures of his sweet little girl. Of course, I couldn’t refuse to take pictures of this little doll! She’s at a hard age for a photographer…she couldn’t quite site up on her own yet so mom was right nearby to catch her before she’d hit the floor on her way down. So, we have most of the shots on the belly…which is still so stinkin’ cute. What I love about taking pictures of babies in their first year is being able to capture the early stages of life, from just laying where ever you put them, to rolling over, to sitting up, to crawling, to standing up, to walking…they grow up so fast!

Brother, I hope you enjoyed these shots of your beautiful baby girl.:)Love and miss you!

Lane County Wedding Photographer | Amanda & Vincent | Part II

Well, I’d have to say that when I look through all the images of this wedding, I can almost feel the passion that Amanda and Vincent have for each other. Along with the passion and love that’s evident, they also know how to have fun! Their cake cutting ceremony reminded me of mine. Way to smash it, guys!

Love it!

And here are some shots of the love birds after the ceremony.

Thank you for having me be a part of your wedding. It was such a pleasure to be there with you and your families. Congratulations!
