As a wedding and portrait photographer, my favorite part of a wedding is when I can combine two aspects of my style at the same time: setting up a shot and capturing moments as they happen. I find this to be most prominent when the bride and groom set apart time to focus on their bridal portraits, usually before the ceremony. In my experience, doing it after the ceremony is a bit more stressful because we all want to get to the party! 😉 Or, we’re all exhausted.
On July 10, Amanda and Vincent graciously agreed to do a “first look” prior to the ceremony and gave us about 45 minutes to play around before needing to jet back to the ceremony location (which happened to be the groom’s parents gorgeous property). Speaking of gorgeous properties, our “first look” location was a beautiful house along the Willamette River. Thank you, James & Diane, for allowing us to use your amazing views and landscapes!
Hope you enjoy part 1 of these two young love birds’ special day.
I also want to thank Willow, of WillowBee Photography, for assisting me with this wedding. It was a hot one! Thanks for putting up with me and the heat! 🙂
